XRS Panels

Any thoughts on cleaner to use on yellow XRS side panels, or are they always dirty yellow? Just picked up an 07 XRS and the side panels are really dirty, not sure what to use?

They will not clean unless kept clean since new, Oil will absorb into the plastic. I when all black.

SledRocks Yellow/blue looks awesome however he spends some time and steals his girls underwear to polish with,Its an every ride task to keep the yellow

Yellow is tuff to clean for sure.........WD-40 works well, Magic Eraser works pretty good too.

Was gonna try the magic eraser, will grab one from the wife's cleaning stuff and try!

on mine i let them soak in hot water. then used super clean.

I use simple green first then rub off left over stains with pledge furniture polish.

simple green works great for that kinda stuff. FYI, carburetor cleaner works awesome on the yellow panels, takes off any oil and works real good to get rid of the marks from the pull start slapping the panels but its really strong stuff. id give it a try in a small area and see how you like it first. i only use it for real tough stuff more as a last resort.

the plastic cleaner/polish from skidoo works not to bad

A glob of Gojo fast orange handcleaner with pumice in a wet rag is like magic. Just dont use it on the smooth plastic

So far the WD-40 has worked the best, brake cleaner works good too, but seems to turn the plastic white in areas

Soft scrub cleaner with a microfiber cloth worked really well on mine. Even took out all the rope start marks too.

Side panel

FYI, once you get them clean, hit them ith a heavy coat of Turtle Wax "ICE" paste wax. I coat mine once a year and when they get dirty a little warm soapy water takes the grime right off, very easy clean up.

I was thinking about the wax thing, glad to know it will work.
