I bought a brand new X from a private owner. He snowchecked and then had to sell before he could ride it. Do I have to notify Ski-Doo that I know have the sled for warranty work, anyone know how to do that?? I looked on the website but didn't see anything.

The warranty should be transferable. Just check with the dealer where he bought it from. I made sure that when I bought mine that the warranty would transfer over. Big selling point. She said that the cost to transfer it was around $25.

if he actually purchased it from the dealer and you purchased it from him then yes. You going to have to transfer the warranty into your name.
On my arctic cat it cost $25 and you have 30 days from time of sale to tranfer it.

There used to be a form in the back of the owners manual that you could send in to BRP. Otherwise the dealer should be able to change the info in Bossweb.
