xp throtle cable

i have an 08 xp 800 with a broken throtle cable. i tried changing it today and to get the oil pump cable off the only way i could see to do it was taking the carbs off so i did that and still couldnt get in there to do it. anyone know of any way to change the cable short of pulling the motor?????? thanks dan

Read the post by MR J on Dootalk. He had to lift the motor to replace his throttle cable.

bergston posted in the same thread that he did his without lifting the motor...

thanks alot ak. i think mines goin to the dealer tomorow and they can fix it haha what a bonehead idea they had making it that hard to change. somebody needs to find a skidoo engineer in a dark alley someday!!
