XP ski swapping from right to left

There was a thread about this but no one really said if they tried this and it worked. The stock XP skis have a large keel on the outside and I have heard swapping from right to left so the keel is on the inside allows the machine to roll over easier for quicker transitions. Has anyone done this and are you still running it like this?

On my Rev (same skis), swapping the skis from side to side made a Huge difference sidehilling and laying the sled over in marginal snow. That big keel on the outside of the ski is a dumb idea as far as I'm concerned.

don't worry.... after you ride it a while and hit a few rocks,, the outside of the ski will wear down, no problems.. :) :beer;:beer;:beer;

They also sidehill better after the the ski has been moved back a couple of inches from hitting a rock or tree!!

I swapped my skies this weekend. Holy cow the sled lays over like a dream now. I was having issues laying it over in low snow conditions before. Not any more!!! It was cornering like a motorcycle in about 2 inches of new snow over a 3o inch base of hard hard snow. it is like a different machine now.

I switched mine on my 07 rev but they looked weird with the tips of the skiis bent out. So I cut the outter edge off so the is only a single plastic runner left and it pulls over really easy. Doesn't hang up on crusty snow too.

When I bought my 07 X-RS, they had put the ski's on wrong when they built it. Didn't notice it until 300-miles later after the outside of the ski's started to look rough and flair out. They replaced them for free for me.

The ski swap flat out works. Lays over better, holds an edge better now too. Rode 2 days of nice deep snow after switching it around and I won't be changing it back.

I did not notice it darting on the trails after doing the swap. Suspension set up has something to do with this as well as the limiter strap setting. I adjusted this before I did the ski swap and I was able to eliminate almost all darting.
