XP Running Rich

Friend has an 07 Rev running way rich. We've played with the jetting but still can't seem to lean it out. We ride around 11K in SW Colorado. Is there any way to limit the output on the injector? I've done this to AC M sleds but am not familiar with the doos. Is there an adjustment?

No injectors, it's carbureted. Check all the hoses associated with the DPM....from the solenoid to the float bowls and also check hoses from the exhaust valves and trace them back making sure everything is connected and fits snug.
If he is running stock jetting it should be close if everything is working properly, some guys jet down 1 size but it should't be necessary.
I would also do a compression test.
Make sure the choke cable has some free play and seats/isn't hanging up.
Anything done to the engine or intake mods etc...??

Sorry about that, I meant the oil injector pump. One of his first complaints was that his machine seemed to be burning a lot of oil, more than normal. He's modified the air intake and installed the twin filters like the timbersled setup. Rejetted the main up serveral sizes. His complaint now is a bog at wide open throttle. It still idles fine and mid range is good. My guess is we still need to work with the jetting and/or the needle settings. We've checked all the linkages and hoses and everything appears good. We do ride consistently about 10,500' so I'm wondering if somethings up with his DPM.

He needs to put the stock airbox back on...it is an excellent design, he is giving up alot going to filters.....and that explains the poor running/bog. Stock airbox/intake stock jetting works great. Make sure the DPM solenoid is functioning, take it out and lube it.
Adjust oil cable as necessary.....more oil is better than too little ;) :beer;

I'll mention that to him but I think he's convinced the increased air flow has improved the the performance at least in the midrange at high elevation. I've been reading up on DPM fixes and will take the solenoid out and lube it as you suggested. You wouldn't by chance happen to know the stock setting for the oiler cable would you? I have a feeling it might be adjusted in the wrong direction.

The oil is adjusted by measuring the amount of exposed cable when you pull the pump open with the cable sheath at the adjuster. (easy to show than to explain...sorry) I think Doo specs call for 16mm or so which is real rich on the oil. I always set mine with a dime (18mm) and it was about 32:1.
