xp running boards?

Only problem I have run into is the little grippy tits that stick up are chewing up the bottom of my boots when I stomp the snow down thru the holes. I was used to kicking snow forward on the old sled, doing that now drives my boots into the grippy bits chewing them up. Oh well, boots are cheap. I like the grippy boards, no ice build up.

I've had the better boards since day 1, so I can't comment on the stock running boards. The better boards sure make it easy to get the snow off there, and they make them a little stronger also.

The stock boards work well in the powder. I switched to Better Boards because I thought that it might make them stronger (Which it did!). Better boards are even better for getting snow out of the running boards. Takes a little while to get used to the feel of them though.

What are Better Boards?

The stock boards are pretty good for snow build up. They are very agressive and hard on boots though. I wore clean through the soles of my Klim Radiums.

I went to the website but they don't have a picture. I just snow checked a new XP so will one of you guys email me a picture of your Better Boards at mtapwu@aol.com
Thanks Gary

Thanks for the information on the Better Boards.
After looking at them I see they are very similar to the Snow Eliminator boards. Ran with a Rev this year that had the boards on so I got to see how they worked compared to my XP. After riding with him on several occasions in different types of snow I feel that they are better then what was stock on his Rev, but that they aren't any better then whats on my XP. We both had to clean the boards off on several occasions, maybe it was just the snow we were in. Yes the XP boards are a little hard on boots, but it's nice to have some grip on them. Just my opinion.

my friend has eliminators on his edg and the first thing he said when he saw my better boards was man look how big the holes are!!! they also have tunnel stiffeners built in them. would post pic but have not figured that out yet.

I installed snow eliminators on my XP, love them. The stock boards were ok, but still not adequate.

Rode with a buddy that had a set of those on his Cat, he was cleaning his running boards off as much or more than I was on my 08' XP stock boards. Not sold on them, maybe if they were designed to be a tunnel stiffner also, maybe?
