XP: Mesh Side Panels?????

Just a few more tie wraps and it will be done.
Slimmed up to the HPS can.
I may add a 0.032" thick aluminum shield between the mesh and HPS can, just for those hard carving days.

1 lbs, 15 ounces, We'll just call it 2 pounds. :)

that is *****in dude can you make some for my 02 summit

thats pretty sick in all but im talkin about that little side pannel

Oh, you mean the primary cover. How would you attach it. If you used rivets, what would you do if you needed access to the primary, drill them and replace them later? Or, try to make it pop in and hold? I doubt aluminum would pop in and hold. And, you might get a bit of powder on your belts.

Been a while, been busy fixing the roof, election, the economy, you name it.

Anyway, finally got the second side panel done. This one came out better, and still under the weight of a stock panel. Had to put extra sheet metal in it to protect the clutches from touching the fabric.

My next thing to do, is rigorous testing. :)

I'm also working on a mesh front panel, and integrated snow deflector and air intake. Should be sweet.

Took pictures with, and without flash.

the plastic shroud is the gayest thing known to man, all it does is make the belt hotter. take it off. its designed to keep the belt at a constant temp, which on doo's is way to high anyways

It also holds the panel away from the clutch when you tip it up on it's side. The dealer removed all but the back (nearest your leg) and a few inches of the top of mine, seems like there is still enough there to hold the panel out. The plastic fin attached to the back of the stock tool bag holder was for sound deadening.....so useless.

hmmm.... i crashed my rev so many times i cant even count and i only have a TINY little mark from the primary on the side panel, so i would say your safe without any, i took the little tool pouch and put it in my bag and took the holder off to allow more airflow....

sorry for the jack wade, nice looking panels, thats a pretty cool looking setup you got going, you should get some farther away shots of that sucker!!! then we can see what the whole thing looks like.

Thanks, No problem, I'll take pictures when it's on the snow, here in the next couple of weeks.

Got the nose done. Used a course mesh on the nose. That should let some air through. Also, it covers the air intake, should help keep the snow out. A little worried about hot air getting into the air intake, but I can always add a baffle.
