XP Clutch Tower Brace?

Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth the $? Do they keep the belts cooler? I ran 800 km on a belt this year on my 08 154 and when the snow got hevier this spring I blew 2 belts in one day. I think the hevier snow and higher torque needed to go thru the hevier snow is flexing the clutches. was looking at a racerworks brace. any input is appreciated.

Won't hurt.....I would go with Big John's brace. Also watch the RPM's as the snow changes, if you are low or high on RPM's the heat will go WAY up....adjust clickers as needed and sometimes that will make the difference between buying a belt or not.

I agree with Winter Brew--it wouldn't hurt. I'm not sure what one Big John is running but, I bought a Schmity built one and wasn't to impressed with the build quality. It will "work", but it looked rough for the cost.

I had Big John's tower brace on my 08 gadeX and It worked pretty good, I was able to get almost 2000 miles on a belt, check out Doo-Talk there Is a company called racewerx I think they make one that you don't have to drill In your frame!!:face-icon-small-coo

I also have the Schmitty brace, seems ok, except that the top bolt broke on me. I am hoping it is just a bad bolt, I found it to rub on the cylinder, I put an extra spacer on it and it seems fine. Fit and finish was less than expected, but it is under the hood so who cares/
If the bolt snaps again, I am gonna have to act accordingly.;)

BJ has the best one I've seen, top quality, no drilling.

I have the Raceworks on mine. Fit & Finish excellent. 1600kms on original belt...Only problem was wait time of about 1 month to get it to Canada. I hear he is also building one for the XR 1200:D...

I'm a dealer for Racewerx "bolt on" brace kit...I have E-tec, 800R and 1200 kits in stock...BJ
