XP clicker #

Hey if i make my clutch clickers to #2, do i need to do anything special? I feel like my sled is reving high sometimes. will this maybe make it run smoother if i change everything to #2? do i just unscrew those bolts and turn it to 2? i have never messed with the clutch all.

Clicker adjustment

The higher the # the more RPM's you will achieve. Each number gains you roughly 200 RPM's. So if you think its to high right now then you don't want to go any higher. Must always keep all 3 the same (adjust 1 then adjust them all). Just loosen nut enough to get bolt head far enough out to turn, do not pull bolt all the way out!

Clickers adjust max RPMs Primary spring start rate adjusts engagement. Would add pin wgt in primary so you can run higher clicker & you will notice a better back shift when on & off the flipper. Shoot for right rpms in clicker 3or4.

Its a 08 XP, i have about 1200 miles on it. I like the idea of adding more weight for a more drastic down shift and slow down. I will take it to the local shop. or is it something that is easy to add?

Adding weight is easy, but it depends if you have a solid or hollow pin in. If you do have a hollow pin all you need to do is add set screws to each pin until you are at the weight that you want. If you have solid pins then you need to buy hollow pins then add you're weight to those! Very easy just make sure you don't lose you're little buttons and o-rings! Good luck!

I never run above 3. My ramps I have hit the govenor cup in 1 so #2 is basically 1 and #3 is #2, when you increase the clicker number all you are doing is gaining rpms by making the primary not shift, you want the primary to shift and control rpm with weight not a steeper ramp....imo. I am sure someone will say why a steep ramp is great, but I like is to be as shallow (less steep) as possible so the primary shifts and just don't get stuck in 2nd gear and rev and not go anywhere.
