Somebody said they wanted to know if people are "not" having problems with the XP belts. So here's a poll but I thought it would be interesting to see if the sled is stock or modified, IE venting etc.

Well, I did have to buy one belt but it came with this cool 2008 XP at $12.5k

Depends on how much they're riding tho too.....I see posts like "63 miles, no problems, belt is fine I dunno what anyone's talking about" UUhhhh ok.

No problems here!

Hit 300 miles. Two B.C. trips and lots of hard riding. Still on the origional belt! Clutching is perfect, gearing is perfect. 50 to 60 mph track speed in deep snow. Horsepower to spare and operating RPM at 8150........

Three of my buddies went out today on their new XP's,,,and used used up 6 belts.

We've seen your posts, you always seem only to report on the negative? Did they break these belts towing Yamaha's?

Belts???

I dont have to many miles but I have not seen anyone with problems. People have to understand that with a new sled there are going to be kinks and the best part about Snowest is finding out whats going on.

IMHO- If I blow more then 2 belts, then i'm going to figure out what the problem is, and keep experamenting/reseaching till it's figured out.

This topic has me feeling worried about belt/clutching issues, but so far I have none.

I think I need to take a break from here and ride my sled the way it should be ridden.

Chaz

PS- Now I know what all the rmk 900 owners felt like. The only difference is the xp might actually work....... ;)

The XP wouldn't stay together towing a Yamaha, not that it would need towing out. These blew just having fun.

Have over 120 miles with no issues and is all stock. Last two times out rode hard, clutches were hot but belt looks brand new. Will be going to Cooke City again this weekend and there will be some deep pow to ride so we will see...... I am going to a 19 top gear and some venting here shortly though

Fug, give me a break, if you think you won't have a problem your an idiot ! These machines cannot handle hardcore riding without some clutching/gearing/ secondary machining. For the guys not blowing belts, YOUR not riding hard enough/big mountain POW ! Ski-Doo is junk !

Yamaha is twice the machine STOCK !

shouldnt you and linc be over on ty wraped in a blue flag where everyone will agree with your bs, only a real idot would say that any of the new machines are junk

I think that this poll could be very helpful if it also had a section that asked if you have had belt problems. It only gives the people with no issues a chance to voice there opinion. Just a thought.
