XP Belt Issue Fixed???

Maybe I am speaking too soon....

So I bought my sled and promply, burn through 5 belts in the first 200 miles. Yes I bought all of them. However Skidoo replaced them, no questions asked... Great right.... haha.

I took my sled to the Dealer and said WTF. The tech completely rebuilt the Primary and Secondary, not only to clean the belt fibers out but he replaces the rollers, added weight, also ground down the arms so they could move freely. I noticed prior to taking my sled in that the belt was only traveling a little over halfway up the primary.

I have taken the sled on three long rides, 230 miles...... Deep powder and some trail...... I still am on the same belt, yes one belt. no fraying or anything. I have had a little belt slip but very pleased... The sled lost a little on the bottom, not as much snap but I think that will be easy to get back. I am just happy to not have to open my side panel and see belt string everywhere.

If any one has figured anything out.... Do tell

I would say it's because he added some weight, they come with not enough weight for the new ramp profile, taller gearing, and bigger drivers being used.
Impressive sleds when settup correctly, buddy has about 400+ hard/deep miles on his 163 with zero belt problems.

Over 300 hard miles and i'm 245 + the gear. No problems at all. Just added under 4 grams of weight to the primary and some vents for the clutch, thats it!

Actually i'm getting tired of writing that..........;)
