We are in the final stages of production on an 4 piece XP 800 cold airbox vent kit. The stock intake plugs very easily in deep snow and uses a pressure flapper with NO FILTERING to keep the motor running when the stock intake vents plug completely. This means your airbox can easily suck snow, dirt, and debris right into your motor. I've taken some pics of the inside of a stock airbox to show all the dirt accumulated in an airbox with only 200 miles of use.
The kit will keep your factory warranty in place and will use high quality CNC cut aluminum frames with SLP prefilter material. The kit will feed your motor with nice cold air at all times and will be a much cheaper alternative to the mod airbox. Cooler air all the time means more power and better throttle response.
Pricing will be determined soon but I expect the retail to be around $75. Pics of the proto will be up by thursday or friday. I'll have complete kits ready for sale all packaged up in around 2 weeks.
