bought a used kit today with a aero 53 and 600 miles on it i see they sell the 66 with the kits so whats the skinny on these bad boys what kind of power is this capable of with pump gas with pushing it mildly the guy i bought it from never put a whole lot of time on it but said it was coming on hard either on or not is there a way to adjust that ? some good info would be great the ins and out

I would call Bryce at Turbo performance if I were you. My guess is that it's one of their kits. I bought a used sled with a TP 66 kit on it. Bryce helped me out a lot. You will need to do the basics: pull carbs and see what jets are in it, check reeds (put turbo specific ones in if it doesn't have them) check the bellows for tears, check the fuel pressure, check all the boost reference lines. I found a bunch of messed up stuff on the sled that I bought. Rich jetting will make it really laggy. With aero's you have to change the spring in the actuator to adjust the boost. You can get them from Turbo Performance. The 53 I think is good up to 10 lbs of boost, but if your going to run pump gas you will want to run a lighter spring in the actuator.

i rode many setup in the past 4 years and the my hm turbo (aero 66) with liquid to air intercooler is by far the most responsive turbo setup i have tested. it is installed on an 09 rmk and i have 1800 miles so far and everything is good. go around the previous installation from previous owner and enjoy the kit!

we installed the 53 series turbo brfoere the 66's came out. they work well for applications under 10 psi. if you are running higher boost than that you will over spool the turbo and take the bearing's out. go with the 66 then that way you won't be wondering if you are over the edge. i have a couple used ones for a smokin deal. alos can help you with the tins.
