XP 08 turbo play video from 4-22-11

Turbo

looking good Ralph!!! Where did you settle in for jetting and clutching? What elevation are you riding at?

Satisfied!

It sure is satisfying when you get that turbo 2 stroke running awesome. Once you have it dialed in and have all the bugs worked out its worth it! One day I'll post some vids of the ol' 04 REV ripping up some rocky chutes.

I ride at 6500 to 10000. My sled needs clean cold air so i made a stack for my sled and all my troubles left!! CLEAN AIR!!!! I run 6 to 8 lb of boost 3.5 turns out on the shock wave and 1.5 turns on the fuel screws Big john set my primary up so i don't know what is in it LAMO i am but she has run great all season!!

looks like some great snow too! looks like you got that thing running good! i never got mine running great...oh well.cheers.

Wy-Doo's XP turbo runs very well.. I was there for the video day and rode his sled.. Very nice !!

No doubt, the 800R engine makes more power (much more) on the same boost than the M or the Polaris sleds.

Based on the experience I have riding ALL 3 boosted sleds at 8PSI (many times and many different sleds)

I would guess that the XP at 8PSI (his was at 8PSI that day) is equivalent to the Polaris or M8 at 10PSI.. So, 2 PSI difference.. and the XP at 5PSI would be equal to 8PSI running on the others..

Fun day... good times.. gotta do it again. SOON!!

Kelsey

Ralph baby,, thanks for taking us on your ride..!!!
that looks like more fun than 2, 24 yr old chicks !!!

external air intakes are paramount to running at altitude.

Thanks GUS she dose like cold clean air!
HUMM 2 24 year olds yes but three nope:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

I have a turbo XP and the old man has a SHR 860 w/ belt drive. I agree on the difference in boost from Cat and Polaris. XP rocks w/ boost. I've been running mine at 12 pounds, but compared to 2 24 year olds...

860 w/ belt drive would walk all over any low boost sleds from what I've seen up to about 8500 ft. Then the boost correcting for loss of air starts to show. Great video, looks like it is running great.

Not 24 year olds but old enough to drink. A little off topic, but I think Gus Bohne may be wrong w/ his assement of turbo sleds :) Looks fun doesn't it.

:eek::eek: You got me on this one hard to beat them there!!!

Do you think the belt drive would hold up to a turbo???

I think so. We've only got about one ride on the belt drive but it is a noticeable improvement. Also have the CMX belt drive on a F7. Originally it wouldn't hold up, but since Mark changed the belts, it has been great also.
