XC700 wont shut off

2002 xc700 wont shut off with key or kill switch just keep running. Needed to pull plug wires to shut off. Any ideas where to look or what the problem might be?

Check the black wire with the white stripe running from the cdi to the stator, it's probably disconnected or broken.

Turns out, I don't know what the problem was. I took the wires apart for the kill switch, ohmed them out, checked out fine. Traced wires didn't find any unpluged or damaged. Probably f'd with it for 1 to 2 hours. Decided to put it back together and try it. Works fine. Probably just had a plugin that wasn't makeing a good connection and unpluging and pluging it back it must have fixed the problem.
