As a friend and fellow snowmobiler thought I should let you know to be careful where you spend your vacation money. Met some nice folks at the gas pumps at Lava Mountain on Togwotee. They said they rented from Mountain Pinnacle Properties across from Lava and were put in a rental in a resident only subdivision. According to locals there are a few private subdivisions and rentals are not allowed. Most of these guys didn't know when they rented but found out when they noticed a sign saying residents only- private property and talking to the locals. A few of the guys left early because they felt a little out of place when they found out that it is a private residential subdivision. I stay at Lava most of the Winter and know that it is the same people that block the trail to Lava. Just letting you know, not trying to be negative but make sure you stay at a verified business and you will be fine. there are several lodges around the Togwotee area that are certain to give you what you came for.
