Wyoming Riding - Where to go / stay???

I am looking to make a trip out to wyoming feb 21-28 with a buddy. I am looking for suggestions on where to go and stay. I would like to be on the eastern side of the state, as we will be driving from wisconsin. How is the albany area? Good snow this year? Is the albany lodge a decent location to stay at? Any help or other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

snow depth

We are looking for all off trail. Boondocking and Climbing. Nothing super extreme, but are looking for more than just rolling hills. It looks like the snow is a lot deeper in south east wyoming, as opposed to north central currently. Is this correct?

Wyoming 30 year average snowpack as of today:

The snowies have close to 20" more snow pack than the horns, in general. What matters most is how much powder is on top, that changes a lot and very quickly. All you can do is make your plans and hope for the weather to treat you right.
