Yup, today's kids/teenagers to 21 are a rare breed and hope to God that they don't breed too. They can't type, can't spell, and can't even comprehend what is being said and done right in front of them. My 8 and 11 year old boys have more common sense then alot of those idiots that are on here.

I'm on the other hand am not like that I have had a part time job since 15. I am now working a full time job and going to school. I hate when mommy and daddy buy there kids what ever they want and then they are cocky about it. Pisses me off that I have had to work to buy my toys and other people just get them handed to them. But when I look back i'm proud I worked a lot and didn't party because when I look at some of my friends that did the parting i'm glad i'm not them and that I can and have a really good job and a good future planned.

I was 20, 471 months ago, and yes, it was a whole different world back then. The youth respected their elders and parents maintained boundaries with their children. You could go wherever you wnated, do just about anything you wnated to do and shoot just about anything you wanted to shoot as long as you didn't infringe on someones elses personal rights. Boys were boys and girls and girls were girls and wolves were target practice.

There are definitely some lazy people out there, but I hardly think that the teens and early 20 year-olds have a monopoly on it. Look around and you will see a huge number of people (enough to swing an election) that are more interested in "what are you going to give me", than "what can I do to get what I want".

There are a couple of young guys I know that are really impressive young men and I would hire them in a minute. I also know some Dads out there that are lazy sacks of crap and as worthless as can be. How can we expect the young people to aspire for greatness if their role models are all lazy, whining babys. (Oh, sorry most of Hollywood, congress, professional atheletes, etc.)

Don't blame the kids. Though they, IMO, are the "Lazy Generation" they tend to go in the direction they are taught or raised.

I like the way people biotch about how kids are pushed through school (no child left behind act.) and come out with a high school diploma and a 6th grade education(me)lol) when we vote down education taxes to buy books, build larger schools and hire/pay better teachers. You talk about gimmie-gimme try it when the shoe is on the other foot. You don't want to pay more taxes to educate your children better, you want them educated for same money you paid in years past.

I like the quote from Good Will Hunting: "You dropped a 100 grand on an education when you could have got it for $15 late fee's at your loacal library."

...or "Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter or do you just go around quoting Vick'as all the time?"

Yep it all comes down to role models, lazy with no respect which is very good definition of today's society obviously it reflects with the government but we won't hijack this thread to start another one of those I've worked for everything I've owned and felt pretty good about it but these young kids on the forums would be better off sticking back and reading through the threads and not responding with some smarta$$ or stupid coment because they may actually learn something from the old guys on the forums who have been around for awhile. Keep hitting them with knowledge guys maybe someday it will sink in.
