WTF happened? He walked off on his own

I watched that crash and after 15 minutes he got up and walked off the course under his own power, smiling and waving to the fans. The announcer dismissed it as having his "bell rung" and off to the hospital he went. An hour later the update came through as a concussion. Now he's gonna die.

It's a reminder of how fragile life really is. A very sad situation for a very young man.

If you watch the video close from the front on shot, you will see the sled as it flips lands with the front bumper right in his chest. Even though I'm sure he had a chest protector on (or better have) the impact of that sled would still compress his chest. Most certainly causing the damage that caused the heart damage. Now the brain issue I'm sure has something to do with blood flow but I have not heard a statement specifically about that.
Non the less a terrible accident.

Maybe a blood clot that moved to his brain? What a $hitty deal. Young guy with his whole life ahead of him. It's never easy when young guys pass.

They said complications from the surgery resulted in a brain issue. My bet is blood clot or stroke.

Crappy deal, here's praying for a miracle.

I saw it too. I'm praying for him and his family. I couldn't imagine how they felt to see him "ok" one minute then degrade so fast. I suppost that kind of impact would be like getting hit by a truck with the velocity the sled is moving at. How sad.

that picture is his brother Colten..... i NEVER believe the news. Its all a mad dash with half assed facts just to get a story out first.
