WTF!!! All metric now?

Was looking at my new to me '11 pro ride and the whole damn thing is metric now. This really takes the rag off the bush for me. I did'nt mind the engines being metric and the chassis standard. Whats next?, made in mexico.

Hey at least now you only have to get out one set of wrenches. If you had to get out metric, standard and british standard wrenches then I'd be complaining. lol.

I use 15 MM wrenches all the time at work for John Deere. About the only more common metric size I use is 13mm. 10mm and 18mm rank right up there too. I don't work on the old ones much so my standard wrenches hardly ever get used.

At least the bolts are the same size wrench as the head. It really annoys me when you need a 16mm to hold the bolt and a 15mm for the nut.

i own a auto repair shop and unless its something from the 80's or older your gonna be in the metric drawers. even the mid 80's stuff is half and half. but hey you can always use a 5/16 for a 8mm, a 7/16 for an 11mm, a 1/2 for a 13mm, a 9/16 for a 14mm, a 5/8 for a 16mm, a 3/4 for a 19mm, a 13/16 for a 21mm.

In the automotive field, 12 mm ,14 mm & 17 mm wrench sizes are common on Japanese vehicles while domestics use 13 mm, 15 mm & 18 mm alot. I've used metric so much for so many years, I prefer it.

Sent from my iPhone when I should be working.

I teach Science so it makes perfectly good sense to me to use metric. Much easier conversions all factor of 10, don't believe me can you answer the following? How many Yards in a Rod? Rods in a Furlong? Furlongs in a Mile? Those are all measurements of length in the US system. That is crazy stuff?
What if my pro was going 143 Furlongs an hour! Dude I was screamin, I think!!

it's called progres.we have not measured lenght, dimensions, weight and distance in number of body parts for quite some time.your catching up,but slow:face-icon-small-ton

That was my point, metric system works. The US system was for an agrarian society using real horses to measure HP. Most of us prefer our ponies have tracks and have a team longer than the Wells Fargo stage.
