i have one of each 97 has 151 track br tec clear hood top end rebuilt 500 or so ago. 98 has 151 track holz rear slp twins stock hood no cracks but paint came off so it is striped and in need of paint complete rebuild 500 or so miles ago.

Here's the sled if interested. About 900 miles on it - motor untouched with exception of single SLP pipe. Put the new challenger track under it at about 500 miles and used a very clean billet idler set-up. Stock track with it if even wanted. $2500 or need to trade into a newer '06 or up 600 for family.

I have a sleeper sled...Its a 98 700RMK Chassis with a 2003 Polaris 800 VES motor built by Union bay 
This sled has a holz coil over rear suspension, powder pro skis, left hand throttle, windshield bag, rack on the back, ice scratchers, 159 track, PSI twins, cylinders ported and polished, case ported and polished, union bay head. This sled rips...Handles like a dream down the trail and in the steep and deep. Best thing about it is that it is a sleeper...It looks like a 700 and sounds like a piped 700 until about 8000 RPM then you know its an 800...I call it the 700 on steroids...hahaha

Taller steering post, Non-VES motor, with VES SLP pipe and can, Hi compression head, airbox, Delta 3 VForce reeds, Carbon fiber trailing arms (Fabcraft), 2" track ported, RideFX shocks, Arctic Cat Secondary clutch, All hand and thumb warmers work. Shortened Seat to lose weight, also have the stock seat, both would go with the sled. This sled runs like an 800 all day long. She is seriously a screamer. Let me know if interested and i can get you pics and answer questions.

Sled also has Simmons Skis, 8" (inner) big wheel kit, Tunnel stabilizers, quick snap straps on the back to hold gas can, new hifaxes. Sled has red hood, bellypan, and the stock EDGE seat in near perfect condition, and another EDGE seat (blue) that has been cut down for weight that is currently on it. It is still a very comfortable ride on the trail but it is set up the steep and deep.
