Tried Too Many to Keep Track

08 M1000 Tots extreme
zbros air shocks
Mo Flow hood and side vents
BDX air intake / Timbersled air intake
Speedwerx Y, Pipe and Can
Dual digitron EGT
Boondocker with NOS cable
BDX board mod
Geo MOD suspension
2 wheel BIG wheel conversion
'09 light and flap
Boss Seat (switching to the '10 seat)
vForce 3 reeds
Powder Pro Skis w/ sidehiller mod
Fox Float evol rear mono
AMP Gage cage
'09 snopro bumper mesh add on
Frogskinz all around
Mountain Addiction Rail cans
Powermadd hand gaurds
AMP Vented billet gas cap (5 HP:face-icon-small-coo )
FastLane Hood Straps

Total weight Loss 38-42 lbs
HP gains 35-40

Best:
VE Rear Tunnel - Strong as he!! & Looks killer
FastLane No-Snows - Also very strong and snow never sticks
PowerClaw - All the Doo riders with me wish they could hook up like this
FastLane hood Straps- Stockers are crap, these keep it tight in a rollover
Fox Float, GEOMOD & Zbros- Stock Susp sucks in the bumps..much better now...my kidneys are thankful
MOFLOW Hood & Side Vents & Gauge cage - Breathes much better now
BDX Board MOD - Love to get my back foot on these grips.
2 wheel conversion with big wheel kit - much easier to throw around on the side hill or up on the tail in a climb, track bends over easier allowing the sled to maneuver.
PowderPro Skis - LOVE EM NUFF SAID (especially with the sidehiller mod)

AVG: (but probably wouldn't do again)
VForce3 Reeds - runs nice but didn't notice any substantial change in performance
Boss Seat - Definitely better than stock but still not high enough for me...hoping the new '10 (on the way) will get me up a little higher)
Boondocker - hated it in the beginning, took 5-6 rides to get enough different "maps" programmed to the point where I could actually ride it. Since then have had minimal issues. Gun to the Head - I would probably go a different route if I had it to do over again.

BAD:
Powermadd Handgaurds - When you roll it they catch the throttle cable and open it up (learned this the hard way:face-icon-small-sho )
Mountain Addiction Can Rack System - Good idea but my cans have always leaked from the vent and if you ride like I do...the rails bend in the mounts when you run into chit. GTH - I would go with the RotoPax set-up

Disclaimer I have been a fan of BDX stuff. I think these guys think out of the box and have some good ideas. Lately however, I have been less than pleased with the quality of the products. BDX Bumper kit was pure CHIT and the ugly azz fix they came up with looked like my neighbor cut off a peice of his garbage can and welded it too my sled...much happier with the VE.
Also, have run the BDX air intake and it does what it is advertised to do..again, seems flimsy and incomplete in it's construction. Switched to the Timbersled and couldn't be happier.

Stay away from spending big money on cool hood airbrushes and graphics...cause if you ride like your supposed too...it's gonna get hit, Everybody knows hoods are disposable :face-icon-small-coo

08 M1000 BEST: snobunje, 09 rear tunnel and bumper, adjustable clutch weights (Dalton or Cutler), koso egts, moflow vents, skidplate. OK: powerclaw - maybe i expected too much and braking sucks. MBRP can - everyone loves the sound but gets annoying after a long day. Timbersled intake - works good, nice weight loss but should include drill bit and stronger hardware + expensive. Headlight delete - should have kept 1 headlight. WORST: left hand throttle - never use it. PURCHASED BUT NOT YET INSTALLED: slp pipe kit, bdx oil delete.

I have another one, best and cheapest...........

Drill out next hole down for the front of the rear suspension and then lighten the front track shock.

Front Floats are at 55 lbs free
Rear is at 135 lbs free
Front track shock is back to about 3/8 of an inch

Not the best setup for powder, but I have had to be honest with myself and realize that I have to ride the trail to get
to the powder and this is a pretty good all-around setup for the trail and the powder.

I still wish I could turn the skis when I have to go slow though.

speedwerx pipe setup. adds lots of power. goes even better with rktek mods.
Mountain mod seat. four inches higher than stock and way more comfy.

best mod.

like the slp can saves a ton of weight over stock plus seems a little crisper off the bottom. goggle holder nice last year but zipper pull out of bag my rideing buddys all did same thing

Best: SpeedWerx Pipe, SpeedWerx Airbox, Jaws Can, BDX Eyepod

Best mods (in order)...
RKT torsional secondary conversion
STM exhaust valves
SLP pipeset with BD box
Boss Seat
Telescoping steering post
Challenger Extreme 2.5" track
Float rear skid conversion with Fox Backcountry Upgrade

Worst mods:
PowerClaw Track - had one for 1/2 season, sold it.
Slydog Skis - the stockers are better IMHO

OK stuff (good but not great):
VanAmberg Tunnel - some fabricating required, needs better boards
SLP Powder Pros - very good, not as good as MODS
MODS skis - aluminum bridge will break if you hit anything, but awesome ski in powder.
BDX Diamond Lite Drive with light trackshaft and ceramic rotor - miss reverse, brakes are weaker then stock
Holz A-arms - not made anymore, but should have been narrower stance...
Boyesen Rage Cages - better throttle response, lightweight wallet (but still better then VF3's in my opinion
Skinz sled tarp - can't leave jerrycan on sled and pull tarp over machine.

Chellgenger over the powerclaw????? do you ride in spring snow all year????
