Hit a snow demon on Sunday in the Snowies, Dropped of at the dealer today to get the clutch recall swapped out. dealer noticed the following, bent the bars, riser, tunnel is shoved back, bent, ripped, lower control arm bent, left ski is about 3-4 inch shoved back from the right one. Panels wont line up and close, dripping antifreeze. I was a like sore riding back didn't notice anything wrong.

Question, do i fix it or total it? Dealer wants to total. (has one 154 X Black
left)

or should I buy it back as a project sled?

Just broke the MFer in with 350 Miles 11 hours runs like a raped ape

What do you guys think. I have never totaled a sled before, just a plane and a couple of baja boats

I hope you had insurance, if so let them figure it out. My brother experienced a similar incident on his 07, the total repair bill was @ $5,500 his deductible was $500. He mentioned on Sunday the sled ran much better before the accident, after spending a lot of money on pipes and clutching it does not give him the "rush" it did before the accident, he is thinking of selling it.

A little duct tape she will be fine:D:D:D

I have totalled two in the past 15 years (well actually I have totalled many more but only claimed two).... anyway, took a check from the insurance company and bought the sled back and parted out or sold the sled and generally came out okay..with a $1000 deductable

Sorry to here about the news. I would total it if possible and buy it back. Most insurance companies let sleds go fairly cheap on a buyback. You could then fix it, sell it, or part is out. I'm sure you come out ahead anyway you look at it.

If you can get it cheap I would. 3000 and you can replace all the busted parts and have a nice sled to sell. I done one with about the same damage. Poor sucker only had 30 miles on it when his lefty froze wide open. He pulled the rope after stopping for lunch and it lit full speed into a tree. Takes about 2 days if you have all the parts.
