Wrecked 06 apex mnt.

ok well i have an 06 apex mnt. that was wrecked at the end of last year. we were going to rebuild the machine but i dont kno enough aout 4 strokes to begin so decided to just sell the sled as a project sled for somebody else. the sled and engine have about 350 miles on it. it hit a tree in the right front of the sled. the oil pan is messed up. the chain case cover got cracked. the a arm is toast. it will take a little work to get it going again but this would be a good sled fo cheap to start from ground up with aftermarket parts. i want to get around $2000.00 for the sled. make me an offer and i will let you know. im located in bend oregon. the sled has always been stored in the garage.

thanks,

jason

well i has put a left hand throttle on the machine and in doing so the one i put on i had to bypass the throttle security syestem and all i did was role the sled over in the powder but it righted itself with a stuck throttle. hit a tree doing about 60 across the flat :(

wat throttle did u have on it? i've never heard of anyone having to bypass the throttle safety system.

If a left hand throttle is installed on a yamaha (at least the apex), and it sticks, the throttle safety switch will remain engaged and you have a runaway sled. Kill switches and a teather are highly recommended if a lefty is used. Had a lefty on my apex. Almost lost my sled due to the lefty (no kill switch) and decided the lefty wasn't worth it! From now on, i will only buy a lefty if it was properly designed from the OEM manufactures with properly designed safety devices.

so far one of the best leftys is a gold finger
all safety devices remain on the machine

would you except $1,500? what all it broken....i see where the shock mounts is broke....what needs to be replaced? do you have the radiator? and top plastics?
