Wreck at GC?

Anyone know about the guy that took a header off the side of the road heading up to GC? He didn't look so good when I went by.....hope it turned out ok...

Yup, thats what happend. My dad went riding and they helped him out. They helped get his sled out and called 911. The ambulance met them in the snow park. It was his first time ever riding a snowmobile.

bummer.. yeah there was a hurd of riders real close to 8:30am heading up.. by 8:40 someone came down and told our group to be cautious, someone had went off the road.. so we rolled up slowly around the 1st switchback and there was the fella in the ditch being treated by his buddies while the ambulance was on the way.. sorry to hear and see that.. 1st time sledding ever and he didn't even make the 1st turn on the road 1 mile from park. that'll leave a bad taste.. ouch..

heal quick and well!

Our group found him in the ditch. Really bad situation to come across. Considering the rescue team had sleds it made his extraction much easier. There was no way we could have moved him to his truck.

Hope he gets better.

You didn't stop to help the guy??

we had a group of five...and between the injured guy and his friend that made seven of us. there had to of been 20 sleds that we told to keep on going just because we didnt need the big croud when the ambulance was on the way....plus the guy could have been embarassed too aside from being hurt, who knows.

but on our way down to meet the ambulance and the search & rescue (they had a toboggan sled to pull him back down) my buddy and i told the riders who were still in the park, or on their way up, to watch after the first switch back for the injured guy.

but we did appreciate some of the riders who asked if they could help, but aside from what we already had done, no one could have provided much more help...aside from the paramedics and search/rescue.

LOL...I offered some water and asked if they needed anything. Which they declined.....

We left the parking area just as the ambulance and other folks were pow wowing to head up....I felt sorry for the guy, but I wasn't going to offer up my beer....:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-sho

Water? :face-icon-small-con Do you have a coolant leak?

i was in the group that found him, i was actually leading out group and saw the sled upside down in the creek then heard a guy screaming. we wanted to get him out of the creek so he didnt get wet but he was in too much pain. mike and i rode down to meet the ambulance then let them take over and we went and rode.
