Wrapping my IQ

This post is step-by-step wrapping project overview. Due to lack of time, I will do this project for few days, and post pictures as they come.
There are 2 types of wrapping - with pre-cut film, and as I call it "free style". Pre-cut way is easier, but usually more pricey: 400-800 USD for whole sled (hood, side panels, tunnel). Pre-cut advantage is awesome design of wraps. Disadvantage is you can find a sled with EXACTLY the same wrap as yours :)
Free style wrap is cheaper - i`ve got mine printed and overlaminated for 200 USD. Pattern was designed by me, what guaranties no other sled like mine.
So, there is beginning:

I wouldn't say it was easy. 6 hours, pack of smokes, and a lot of swearing.
Anyways, hood is only partially done. Then side doors and tunnel to go :)

Yesterday I found time to finish the hood. So, finally it looks like this:

Side panels done. It was challenging to match the pattern on hood-side panel transition, but looks like I've nailed it.

Personal opinion, but when it comes time to sell the sled, I think you have narrowed the list of possible buyers since they may have a different opinion on what they think looks good.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

Oh, that`s easy :) the wrap is removable :) i have not removed original stickers, so 2-3 hours of wrap ripping off, and sled is bone stock on surface :)

and the last piece - tunnel. it looks simple, but tunnel reinforce and crazy amount of rivets make it challenging task. As well, I am in doubts wrap will stay long on tunnel. anyways, winter will show :)
Next post I will share some tricks and must-do things om sled wrapping process.

Nice job! Just ignore Volcano, some people are just that way. He probably tries putting everyone down. I like it...looks great! Nice right up too

I wasn't intending to put anyone down.

I visit the Puyallup snow show pretty much every year and see a lot of money being spent on after market items that don't pay off when it is time to sell the sled. There are a ton of used sleds in the lots over that weekend that appear not to sell, either due to the increased price to cover the "add-on's", or potential buyers simply don't prefer the aftermarket goodies (likely other reasons too). Since wraps are somewhat of a new trend, I'm just afraid people will be having a harder time selling something that does not look "stock". I say this as my observation leads me to believe that clean stock sleds sell quickly if priced right. With the ever increasing rate at which new sleds sell for, the more a guy can get for his old sled makes the purchase of a newer sled more palatable.

If he is putting the time in to put that wrap on his sled I have my douts in him selling it any time soon... It wouldn't be much fun if we all kept are sleds stock just for resale would it now?

Gents, I appreciate everyone`s opinion - doubts, kudos, questions, and any type of comments. Please remember, it costs me just 200 dollars, and a lot of fun applying it :) We are trying to have fun here, isn`t it right?

Where did you buy your wraps. Did you get it local or order it on line. Do you have a ph number for them or email/web site for them. Thanks

Design is mine, so i supplied Corel file with pattern to these guys. They printed it on best quality vinyl possible, overlaminated it, and sent to me. Size 52"X9'. 200 CAD with shipping. These guys are:

Snowbunjie box

Added some custom aluminum box instead of standard jerrycan holder. As well, i am using it as platform for Kolpin jerrycan.
