Worth buying?? 08 162 float skid?

I have a chance to buy an un-used 08 162 float skid! Complete with rails,idlers,shocks, I have an 07 m8 with 5700km on it. I was thinking this would be a good upgrade? I have read lots of posts on the GEO Mod and also the Burandt kit! Would this be a good upgrade for my sled? What is the weight difference? I was looking at the timbersled. But i can get the float for $700 witch seems like a good price?

If i buy it im going to do some powder coating and some other stuff to it before i install it! Would you guys recomend trying the GEO mod? Or should i just go with the burandt lit?

You can get the upgrade setup for about $400 (maybe less), I wouldn't pay 700 for the whole setup unless you have a buyer for your for $300.

You can usually get a few bucks out of the 07 shocks (maybe $75 for both?)

It'd be nice to have a full spare skid though I guess too.

I just figured with 5700km on mine it might be a good option? Has the lighter rails and such! Not to much into jumping so they should not be a problem bending? I'm sure the last time I checked on the conversion it was around $600 but I could be wrong!!

the geo mod maybe costs $5

the float skid should be 8 lbs lighter

Is the 09 skid much lighter then the 08? I know it has different rails..
