Worst Job To Support Sledding

Oh man BugIto dont tell me that I just got a job running skid-steer on the snow removal crew. I was told however they only work at night so if I get off at daylight Ill be going riding ... really who needs sleep anyway haha

Done a lot of snow removal. You'll change you're mind fast on the not needing sleep. The skidder will beat the piss out of you moving snow. Oh how I don't miss that. Bet if everything doesn't pick up we'll be back at it again this winter though. Worst ever job! Worked at Flying J (truck stop) as maintenance. Clean showers fill propane. 8 hours of that crap. I hated my life and it was impossible to get a weekend off to go sledding even though the job was making the payment on all the toys

In college I'd work from whatever time I was done with school until 5:00 at a Yamaha dealer/performance shop (yes Yamaha, embarassing..:face-icon-small-hap) shipping pipes, clutch kits, etc. Then I'd work from 5:00 until 10:00 as a meat man at a local grocery store. Evenings were pretty slow, so I just re-stocked the coolers, ground some beef, and occasionally had to package fish and stuff (love the way fish smell can stay on your hands for days).

It was all so I could afford to blow my life savings racing snocross! It was fun though.

But im doing it again this winter so I can afford my little addiction

You can last about 2-3 days on little sleep before it gets ya. I work overnights alot so I can play and that's about the max, even with energy drinks and meth

Snowmobiling AND meth? Those are two expensive habits but damn riding high is fun! I got furloughed back in...I think it was May so that's been cutting into the money I used to put away for sledding. It's b.s. Really cuts my paycheck down. Got an extra day off a week though but who wants to work another job, on a day off? I am a little nervous about paying for sledding this year but my season pass is all paid off so I guess I can snowboard more if I can't pay for gas for the truck and sled. I am actually just contributing less to my retirement fund, yeah, i'm 32 what the hell do I need a retirement fund for and I got my fingers crossed the sled runs well and no f ups or accidents this year.

I sell tumble weeds on ebay- Dam proud of it.
Thanks to the people of NewYork and New Jersey- who show them off to there neighbors.

You are the best.
It puts 110 octane in my tank

Yah, I agree with the above. Plowing snow removal is the worst, as you are out there working in the big dumps, not playing..

Yah, skidders suck too!!! They are soo sloowww you can't furrow with them, and they have no weight either. Not to mention tires suck for cold weather too.

I love snowplowing though... really, it is just a lot of fun. Makes for long mornings though, especially when you break stuff, or get stuck, or the snow is so wet and heavy that it takes you twice as long to do your normal route.
