worn rollers on secondary clutch

I've got a 2003 900 1M that has backshifting problems that have been getting progressively worse. If I'm riding in powder and hit a hardpacked track I will loose 5-600 rpm's and then slowly regain them. I've replaced the spring and weights in the primary as well as put a new spring in the secondary with no improvements. I just noticed my rollers are pretty worn and have a lot of play in them. I've just replaced them but am unable to test the sled properly here. Could that have solved my problem or is there something else I should check before heading back out this weekend. Thanks.

It is entirely possible the rollers are your problem. Check your primary clutch also to see that your clutch weights are running straight and in the center of the roller. The weights have a bushing that wears and will let the weights hang up on the sides of the spider. The big twins are really hard on those bushings, I would replace them every season just for insurance.

on the back side of the secondar clutch there is a bearing/race on the inside its hard to see it bu mine on my 01 mountaincat wore and oblonged and it made m rollers go bad and litterally tore them to shreds becuse the bearing im talking about eventually backed off, out of the clutch.

Still having the same backshifting problem. I've now replaced weights, both springs, and secondary rollers without any change in performance. I still loose 5-600 rpm's everytime I hit a track or hardpack. Does anybody have any other idea's on what to check??? I've about given up on it.
