World Championship Hilclimb LIVE FEED

Notice how the mod class sleds don't "look" so much different than the stock class sleds.

Remember 10-20 years ago how the mod sleds looked like something from a science fiction movie.
Now the mod sleds were hard to pick out on the web cam much of the time. You had to listen to the announcers to know it was mod class..
You might see a turbo intake sticking up sometimes... but otherwise looked like a stocker.

And there were STOCK sleds getting up the hill when mod sleds weren't getting past gate 25.
And there were a couple of stock sled times that KILLED the field.
Anyone see Keith's stock 600 time?

It's a testament to what the OEMs are producing now days.

Example Jadine Paff on her stock 800 Polaris went to the Summit on her sled and won her class ... My son and his buddies on there mods didn't even qualify to the next round. Funny thing is they all ride Polaris 800 and ride together all the time ... Man O Man i can't wait to go on a group ride I've got some serious razzin to do. :face-icon-small-ton

Funny thing, I think it was 800 stock that Keith won, yet didn't go over the top either.
But he sailed in 600 stock.

I think your right about that Scotty, the sport is unpredictable that way ... One weekend your on your game next weekend your not.

My son decided to try the C3 belt drive a week out and really liked it testing on the practice hill. But over the weekend the guys running chains were 8 to 10 seconds faster. Just couldn't get the gearing dialed in to keep up. Oh well that racing.
