Refinishing the wood floor in our house soon and have a question on fixing a few bad squeaks. I looked online and alot of fixes require comng up from below which we would be unable to do unless we ripped the ceiling up downstairs which we do not want to do. I've found 3 possible fixes. Pour Talcom Powder between the cracks. If still not resolved force wood glue between the cracks. If that fails. Nail them down, predrilling the holes is final solution.

Anyone else know of any easy possible fixes?

First you will have to determine where the squeaks are coming from. The plywood to the joists (nail pop) or between the hardwood flooring and the plywood. To resolve nail pop you are going to have to renail in the area. The hardwood floor squeak is a tough one to bad 20lb roof felt was not added first. But you can get a grease gun needle that is designed to inject grease through rubber. Instead of the grease try your various concoctions.

Seems to be a cross beam where they are squeaking at. They are inline with another squeak around the opposite side of a support wall. The hallway is the worst. They are about 2ft apart and run the length of the hallway with the entrance to the hallway the worst.
