Wiseco Pistons in an 800

This question has come up a few times. I have been using them for 700 miles now and they still look perfect. Tolerance was right at .005 on mine. Right within spec and far better than the out of tolerance OEM pistons.

Yes, turbo application, but also wanted reports on the clearances people were getting with them.

Are you referring to the update pistons?

No, fullmonte is running the wiseco's dual rings. I "think" I am going to put the wisecos in my BD 08 dragon 800 this summer. I have pulled my exhaust valves and I have some wear on mine that I don't like the looks of. One side looks good, but the other side has the coating worn off already.

Out of tolerance update piston or original single ring?

My single ring were out of spec, but I've been told the update pistons are no better? Not sure why they would not have corrected that issue. Especially when the spec is clearly printed in their service manual.
