Wiseco piston kits for sale?

do yourself a favor! wiseco pistons are junk. use cast or spi!!
We can start the whole debate of wiseco forged vs. cast again here, or help the guy out... if he cannot find a kit he may be forced to change to something else. After a bit of research and talking to friends who have used the Wisecos in Doo 800's, I decided to go with Wiseco. Proper warmup seems to be the key with the forged pistons, and I have not had any problems with them whatsoever. I also would not hesitate to go with SPI from what I have heard about them, although checking the clearance is key to any successful replacement.

Did you check eBay for auctions? Picked up a complete kit on snowest forums myself though, just as cheap, and from a fellow sledder. Also, posting this in the "engines" and "wanted" sections of swapmeet will probably get you more results! Did for me.

If he just needs one piston to match the other one then changing over to a different piston brand wouldn't be $$smart.

If he wants a complete kit, SPI does not make a kit if I remember right so you have to buy the gaskets etc. separately.

Good luck...

Thanks - I'm not necessarily stuck on Wiseco - I'll take a look for SPI as well. I keep looking at ebay - actually bought a kit from someone then they turned around three days later and said they don't have them - another week down the tube...

Try CudneyRacing.Com. Sells a kit for the 800 H.0. for $300(cdn), and the rings won't crap out on you either!!!
