wiring rubbed through on 09 dragon

I figured while I wasn't riding I would look at my sled to look at the wiring for the v/r and ecm, and find in the back of the clutch guard next to the airbox that my wiring has rubbed through since the recall has been done. it either rubbed on the protective cover over the electronics or on the fuel line where a fitting is. everytime I think of this update I get irritated. my sled ran great before the update and runs good now but not as good. check your harness it rubbed right through the protective stuff they have on teh outside of it

I just got my new vr and ecu installed I am going to go over everything with a fine tooth comb. I want to make sure there isnt somthing like that on mine that caused my problems.

Rubbed thru wires

My local Dealer also just found a 09 D8 rmk with the same wire rubbed thru and the sled melted down. This is a turbo sled so we are waiting to see if the dealer pulls thru with the warranty or not? Obviously this concern is not due to the turbo but it is a great excuse to void any help that would of been given if they determine it had a VR & ECU failure?

I think I will be cutting the back of the guard off so it won't rub, if they can't make a good design I guess I will change it. Its at the dealer now. its out of the bumper to bumper warranty but I am sure it happenned after the recall was done.
