Wires through riser?

I'm putting a 6" riser on my D7 and am wonderig how much of a pain it will be to remove wires from inside the stock riser. One bundle doesn't look like it runs into a loom and to the main harness!
I don't really want to disconnect everything! I considered just cutting the factory riser in 1/2 with the sawzall to get the wires out!

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Good luck, doesn't sound like a fun chore.

I've been dragging my feet replacing my 8" solid riser block with a skeletonized block because of the hassle of moving everything and remounting my Digatron.

Better have a few of these on hand.:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;;)

I just cut the stock riser on my 700 in half with a skinny wheel, wires work just as good on the outside of the riser. I still cant figure out what dumb a&^ at polaris engineering thought of that one. If you cut yours off and you have the hood open, make sure you plug up your air intake so you dont get any crap in it.

Don't cut your riser! All but two wires unplug above the airbox. For those two wires you will have to remove the four torqs headed screws on the brake handle side of your bars. You will find that there are two plugs, you will need a thin flat screwdriver to insert and lift in order to release the plugs. This can be a little difficult, but it is doable. I just put fly 7" risers on my D7 without lengthening anything. PM me if you have any other questions.
