A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW REMAINS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON.
THIS ADVISORY COVERS THE WASATCH FRONT AND CACHE VALLEY...THE
WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS...WASATCH MOUNTAINS FROM I-80 NORTH...
WEST CENTRAL UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING.
ACCUMULATION OF 1 TO 4 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN THE VALLEYS...2 TO
6 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...AND 3 TO
8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS BY LATE TUESDAY.
SNOW AND GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS A COLD FRONT CROSSES
NORTHERN UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING DURING THE EARLY MORNING
HOURS. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF TO SHOWERS A FEW HOURS AFTER
THE FRONT PASSES BUT THE WINDS WILL PERSIST.
THE SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS MAY CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR
THE MORNING COMMUTE IN NORTHERN UTAH WITH LOW VISIBILITIES AND
POTENTIALLY SLUSHY ROADS. TRAVEL OVER THE MOUNTAIN PASSES SUCH AS
PARLEYS SUMMIT AND ALONG I-80 IN SOUTHWEST WYOMING WILL BE
DIFFICULT.
