Windshield Choices??

So i'm looking into snow checking and was wondering what people are running for the windshield choice and why, disadvantages/advantages? the Rmk Mid or the Low With the hand guards??

Personally I've always liked the low windshields myself. They look better, and there is less to catch and get ripped off. As far as wind protection, the only ones that really do provide protection, are the ones that are way to big.

The one thing I dont like about my low windshield is on deep days the powder comes up over hood and the windshield lets it dump right on your gauge.

All the more reason to not even bother with a windshield for mountain riding!

Have FUN!

I went with the low windshield with handgaurds on my 12. On my IQs I would end up breaking one of the "ears" off after riding through the trees and I was always installing new push rivets on each side after every ride. After one of the ears ripped off I would end up cutting the other side off and trimming the windshield down so it would match, thus ending up with a lower windshield anyways.

the mid windshield worked great on my 2011, the low one looks good but I think the hand guards could break off like they did on my dragon unless they are made from different material than in 08
