Will a sled deck fit a 06 Dodge Mega Cab

Thinking about getting a sled deck for my 06 Dodge Mega Cab 3500 and I was wondering if they make one that fits. I know the mega cab has a smaller short box then the standard short box. Does anyone know if this will even work? Does a standard short box sled deck fit? Thanks everyone for your help.-Chris

I had a bull dog beaver tail, and it fit fine. My issue was the shatty tie down system in a 2006 Dodge... PLASTIC CLEATS??? WTF?! never could keep it tightened down.

It also pays to find a sled deck that is engineered to look right on the truck.

The front of the bulldog was about an inch too high.

Never did look right. Sold it.

I liked having the deck, though, but I find for my set up at home, and if it is just my sled on the deck, its easier to load into the box.

If the economy ever turns around, I'd like to get another, but for now, Fulton Ramps will have to do.

I just built one for my 3500, and it does stick out as it's an 8'6 deck with a 10" beavertail.
I'm thinking about selling it as I lost my big storage building and will have to find a place to put it during summer.
I got it on the truck now, and won't even put a snowmobile on it for at least another month.

Full lotus sled decks

If you are looking to buy a deck, that will fit your truck properly, you need to look at a Full Lotus deck. Our decks, have hieght and position adjustable legs. This allows you to set the deck to match the angle of your deck. Not to mention we are by far the best built deck on the market. We hae a shorty version that won't stick out to far and we have our full size version as well.

Thanks

I built my own deck, and when I did, I had a GMC short-box, so when I went back to dodge, I had to move the rear legs forward a couple inches. I have a 8' flat part of my deck, with almost 2' of beavertail.

As far as the tie downs go, yes, the factory plastic ones suck. I got 4 large eye bolts, welded the eye closed, and drilled through the box on the bottom, near the sheet metal strengths ribs. I used large aluminum plates (3"x5", by 1/8" thick) washers and lock nuts. I wanted to spread out that load real well. I can take some pics, if you want to see what I did. It works pretty well, and there is a LOT of force on them when loading. I also installed airbags, and run e-rated tires.

When I had my GMC, the front end was real splashy with 2 sleds back there, that darn dura-minimum was so light. But, that Cummins up front now, keeps that front end on the road much better.
