Will a 2 wheel kit from an XP work on a rev?

'07 XRS skid. I'm looking to go with a 2 wheel, inside the rails setup.

I found this one from Holz:

For an XP. Here's a pic:

I'm pretty sure those are stock XP wheels but correct me if I'm wrong.

Are the XP wheels larger than what's on my rev skid? I'm running a 162 track so I can handle going to bigger wheels but if the wheels are bigger than what I'm currently running does that mean the axle would have to be offset for this to work?

The Rev Axle Outside diameter is 25mm. The XP axle OD is 20mm. I think it will not work.
I put XP wheels on my Rev and had to buy new bearings for them because of this.

M series sleds run 8" wheel and the same bearing as the Rev. I had a friend that went to a 2 wheel kit on his M and he gave me the 2 unused wheel from his sled. That's what I used when I built my 2 wheel kit for my sled. And no need to use an offset axle like we've been told. There is enough adjustment and the 8" wheels work with your stock track.

So according to what you're saying I should be able to go ahead and purchase the Holz axle, head to a doo dealer and order up a pair of the XP wheels and this should all bolt right up to my rev?

On a side note, the instructions on the Holz site say that you have to completely remove the rear skid for the install. Is that really necessary?

There is a thread in here about taking and cutting the axle and spacer on stock rev axle to make a two wheel kit. The cost $0. did it to my sons 05 rev. took about 3 hrs. no issues and it works great.

hm.. thats good info!

How 'bout some good rep?

As for removing the skid, you don't need too at all, although it does make it a bit easier if you wanna mod your own stuff. Saves you money if you use what you already have. I can see if you think you might want to change back to 3 wheels. I know I never will and don't want to.

What is your goal... XP wheels or a 2-wheel kit?

Seems to me that it would be an easier option to just buy the kit that fits your sled... or make your own. It's easy to build I did mine in about the 3 hours mentioned above start to finish.

Look smitty up and check out his stuff if building is not an option. His stuff is real nice and proven, there are tons of members on here running his stuff.

Both I guess. I'm looking for a 2 wheel kit and I'd like to go with slightly larger than stock. I was thinking billet wheels but I hear plastic works better, I'm really liking the looks of the xp wheels and I'll be able to get them for less than billet would cost.
