It will work but there is a much easier way.
Remove clutch bolt
tip sled on side
fill hole with water
wrap end of clutch bolt with plumbers tape use lots
put bolt back in and she pops right off

Umm.....that won't work. You still need a bolt or puller that threads into the puller thread portion of the clutch, not into the crank. It will work with the puller and water.

Winter Brew, It has been a year or so from the last time I pulled a clutch, But don't the Bolt in the Clutch tread back out of the crank and come out so Far and tread out of the Clutch where the puller normally Pulls the Clutch? I maybe wrong. But I will agree a puller would be alot easyier to use. But the water Idea could get us out of a Jam.. Just my 2 cents worth..
