Will '02 summit clutch puller work on '09??

Umm.....that won't work. You still need a bolt or puller that threads into the puller thread portion of the clutch, not into the crank. It will work with the puller and water.

WB Give it a try, you'll surprise yourself! It works via a form of hydraulics. The clutch bolt threads into the puller portion and compresses the water which creates alot more force a "pop" off it comes. Be careful though I have had the clutch pop off so fast it launched out of the sled! Make sure you put ample Teflon tape on.

As far as being easier to just use a puller...this is true if it comes right off, but if it is stubborn at all it will be alot easier and safer on the crank. No pounding the clutch bolt or pouring hot water on the clutch etc.

Winter Brew, It has been a year or so from the last time I pulled a clutch, But don't the Bolt in the Clutch tread back out of the crank and come out so Far and tread out of the Clutch where the puller normally Pulls the Clutch? I maybe wrong. But I will agree a puller would be alot easyier to use. But the water Idea could get us out of a Jam.. Just my 2 cents worth..
