Wierd Shock issue

My rear shock(s) were doing strange things the other day. My tunnel sits really high and I find it very heavy to throw over for carving. So I wound down the front rear spring tensioner thing to see if it would sit a little lower and see if it made it easier to carve.

We rode on a trail for about 5km and stopped and the tunnel had sagged right down as if the shock was blown. I wound the spring tensioner thing back up and it was still very soft/saggy. After another 5km on the trail it was back to normal (like it had pumped itself back up) but it seemed to keep changing from being super saggy and loose to tight and stiff throughout the day.

Is one of the shocks possibly on its way out? Or one of the springs? I would think the spring would just go and it would always be saggy if that were the case.

It could be that the sled was not on level ground ea. time when checking? If the rear wheels are contacting the snow more than the front of the skid it will compress and seem weak. Same as loading it on a trailer ramp and stopping mid way. Also by having the rear drop brackets puts more pressure on the back which can cause the same result. Mike

X2. If you stop in a spot where all the weight is on the rear of the skid it will sack right out.

The springs hold the sled up not the shocks, unless you have floats in the rear.

Thanks for the suggestions but its def not to do with the angle the sled is sitting at. At one point I can sit on the end of the tunnel (I weigh 180lbs) and it will compress maybe 6-8 inches and spring right back to full extension when I get off.

Then later on I wont even need to be sitting on the tunnel and it will be sagged down maybe 10 inches. The difference is very very noticable. I can lift the back of the tunnel back up to full extension and let go and it will just sag right back down.

5 mins later its back "pumped" up again to full extension/tension.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

ive got a m8 snopro and still the rear fox shock after being rebuilt it will still sag like a low rider after riding anyone have any ideas or cures

After the 5 min. is it still sitting in the same spot, you haven't moved it forward? I have had that problem but it was just how it was sitting on the ground. If the snow is like 2 to 3" higher at the back it will be way softer! Try this sitting on the level floor or trailer. Put a 2x4 under the back of the track and test the suspension. Now put it under the front skid shock and test again. It will be real stiff out back! I have a factory rear shock if you want it has about 800 mi. on it?
