widowmaker crested feb 28th 2001 polaris edge 800 144x2

yep lets see the video

Hey Focker Put The Video Up, There Is No Reason Not To. I Don't Believe This To Be True With A 144. I Have Been Over The Maker On A Kk 900 162 When Snow Was Set Up And The Top Is Still Steep And Deep I Almost Turned Out, And Barely Made It. I Have Also Lost A 98 Rmk 700 151 On The Maker And This Sled Had Many Mods And Ran Awesome. You Might Have Been Passed Out And Had A Dream That You Made It, But Whatever Makes You Happy. Have To See It To Believe It Post The Vid.

we want video video

I was there, I seen it happen and everything old focker says is true eccept it was a 02' not a 01' 800 po 144 2'' he is trying to get a video as we speek from the guy who we went with, don't give him too hard of time he is just proud of his dads old 800 wouldnt you be! That is the highest I have ever seen a sled go up it, I have seen tracks over the top but not witnessed it when we were there his tracks were the only ones up that high because he went up a few times to feel it out!

I went right up where he went up and turned out, I didnt even want to try it. It was so steep and the snow was soft at the top because of the recent snow that fell!

If you did this on the 27th, sorry to say but we had a stock xp and a stock 06 go over the 22 and 23 more than once. So hadn't been quite 2 weeks. Unless it was the "feb27th of march" Really it gets so packed from people almost having the balls to go, but don't so it's really not bad till that last 50yds or so. Great you made it up. Try just rolling up to it instead of going all bawls out from the start. There's more of a challenge.

Anybody can make it up this time of year when the snow is set up.. Hell I made it up it last year on my wife's new crossfire 600, and yes it is a stock 136 inch..

Its all about the snow.. I believe old focker made it up, but it really is not that big of deal .. haha... :D

Heck 3 years ago I saw a sno pro 440 race sled make it up !

Funny I was up there yesterday with the 10-high guys and the sickest mark was Cameron on that rx-1 turbo!!!! check out the marks between the rocks to the left, sure your sled didn't go up it at 120 mph! and that was the only over the top marks

a few comments

1. any good rider on a crappy sled or a crappy rider on a good sled (me being
the later) can go over right now.:D
2. That hole that tried to eat me was no sliding snow, I've stuck it places I
shouldn't have before, and that was a dig out for sure.
3. Get your own log in, it's not that hard. Sooner or later you need to cut the
cord.:light:
4. It's fine to post and tell a story, but you didn't need to do it on the
original thread and then start your own too. (one post per story please):(
5. BTW, hundreds have been over that hill, but if you have a spectacular
video, we would love to see it.:beer;

The conditions change up there hourly so when you go up makes a big difference and second of all I was there so all I can say I was impressed. With the amount of sleds that were there and no one made it up but him I would say thats quite impressive because any one else could have tried because it is so easy to do (as you guys say) and that is why they all just sat and watched except for a few revs that went as high as they could and turned out with 50 feet to go!!!!!!!! just my 2 cents

i just want to see a video of what the wideomaker looks like right now havn't been on it all year

Widowmaker

.I was up on the mountain on saturday i was at the widowmaker for 2 hours and nobody made it to the top.i was 40-50FT from the top but didnt have speed to make it.Going back out the 21st to try again..i seen the 10- high guys. That RX-1 is kickass . I was on the one lake when the RX-1 was going towards the widowmaker. didnt get to see it go up the widowmaker. i seen him go up the hill by the lake.

Dude it was sick, then we had to tow it back, oil everywhere on the tunnel. It's on film though, look for 10 high 5 when it comes out!!

Widow Maker Mar '08

ye haw we were going up and over the top back in the 90s on stock mountain maxs when the snow is hard now take a sled and climb the widow maker at 70+ mph track speed with a foot or two of fresh or better yet go to the left of widow maker about half way to the gap and make a line up the hill then well see if you $#!t your self cause its a wild ride see ya at the top old focker

Talking alot of smack! Don't spray your testosterone all over. Hey, this was an older sled(older than about 90% of the sleds at the bottom, including my Dragon, a few AC's including a M7 on NOS, some Yamahas and a bunch of 800R SkiDoos Summits). We ALL had fun watching him go up that hill that day, even if we couldn't make it! Please don't be such a "hater".

lol to this thread.
try it with some powder...

Minie Me,
You are misunderstanding. There were alot of sleds there, 25-30 and most brand new and all makes, some shorter tracks some long as hell. Nothing else went to the top other than that Polaris RMK 144". For some reason that thing just hauls, always has.
You say he needed Powder to brag? Well let me tell you all those other sleds that tried climbing had the same conditions as him there and they didn't crest the top.
Take it easy and watch the video. All of us at the bottom enjoyed seeing him make it to the top, yes we wished it was us but as you know somebody will always have one that is better and that day on that hill, he took the cake.

If you did this on the 27th, sorry to say but we had a stock xp and a stock 06 go over the 22 and 23 more than once. So hadn't been quite 2 weeks. I don't think they have their dates right, but you know it doesn't matter. All that matters is he went through and over those "last 50 yds". Your right, I tried going up there with my Dragon and didn't make it.

focker jr;
thanks for posting the video...I wish that everyone would understand that it is simply a good story that i thought i would share after some guys mentioned they climbed it a couple days after on new iron.....I simply wanted to let you know the story on the hill a couple days before...it was something that made the 25 plus people on the bottom laugh and knee slap....i didn't know what to think i thought it was sweet that our back up sled of all things made the crest and the last three lines you see on the way up...no it was perfectly up the left side but close enough..no it wasn't my first time over...no the snow wasn't crusted but wasn't powder there was about foot of fresh on a harder base regardless no one there came within 100 feet on sleds that where brand new with bigger and better powered motors....it was a climb that in my very lucky 11 years of being able to ride in what i refer to as "heaven"(since i was 16)...it's a climb that my self and the people that where there will reflect back on laugh and shake our heads that it went over the top....i still can't believe that sled made it???? i really think that i should sell my 440iq stretched with a 925 big bore because it is a fact it was running a heak of a lot better (oh!!! this was one of the worse weeks for me wrenching fricken big bore carbs had me missing a lot of ride time...couldn't believe how inconsistant this thing runs cooke it ran great one month before)

i'm sure the new post and video will spur up more haters and can see it already has...some people call it short man syndrom either way not sure why you would care so much and have to post anything to bewidle what happened that day...maybe it's jealousy??? I'm not sure what it is but i never once intended to make anyone jealous or intimidate anyone and their own riding by posting this..never once said it was me that got it over the top i just hung on to the rickety canoe and said a few prayers (those that have been to the top before know the last stretch:eek:)...i simply wanted to share something that was very rare and worth talking about...or so i thought

come on give me a break 2002 144 2 inch with flames up the front and a sticker on the windshield that says old focker...if you got a better video on a nonturbo sled climbing it without rocks sticking out because its late april post it....heak i think there should be a forum just for the videos on this hill i've seen some funny ones

hope everyone had a succesfull year riding the mountains of west this year!!! And hope you didn't spend the time i did under the hood this year...i wouldn't wish that on anyone but at least the back up ride still rolls:face-icon-small-win

I SMELL BS!!!! I HAVE SEEN THAT SLED I THINK WHAT REALY HAPPENED WAS THE M7 WAS PULLING THE OLD FOCKER SLED UP THE WIDOWMAKER. LETS SEE THE VIDEO!!!!!

I do however need to talk a little smack to one of these posts as i don't know the rest of you and you have no connection to the story or myself so i appreciate your skepticism as it is only natural as it is not that normal of a story for this hill... but this guy above (SPEEDFREAK) knows the story and knows one of they guys that was there

haha there you go speed freak...you are correct you do know the sled and that is the funny part of the story..she really ran good that day that M7 on NOS had no chance not saying my lop of sh*& that was broke in the trailer would have (again this was the back up)...the problem is your buddy was the one with the M7 so you knew the story...so here is the deal because you are a really good rider  let see what that turbo can do i thought the invite was open for you this year i even asked darren to ask you?? maybe you don't ride that out west or maybe you just use that turbo to get 4 inch tropheys at the grass drags in the freeborn county fair??? My sister looked pretty smooth running that 300 feet last year...she is excited to be back next year as well! maybe you should change your name to "radar run guy" or "300 feet of speed freak" This fall i'll buy you a big trophy for next years run that way it doesn't feel like a waste to know that you spent 12k plus to go to go fast on 300 foot grass drags and win 4 inch trophys?? I heard they have simular grass drags in the south when it snows up here...maybe we can get you a sponsor and you could hit the "mini tour"

and no your p&n*s did not grow a full inch or 30% after the 300 foot grass drag you won that was just the adrenaline i'm sure it has since disappeared under your belt line
