? why not more diamond s hoods??

Ugly? Man, You guy's are going to hurt my feelings. I think that they look pretty good on the Dragons and even better on the M Sleds.

I never said ugly, I said unfinished. And that dragon looks awesome!!!!

I'd have to agree. They look COOL!:beer;

Have any of you running these hoods ever had any issues with the frame bending and hitting your pipes from roll overs or craches?

That would be my biggest worry. Hate to have dents in the twins from a simple roll over or a ghost ride into a tree hole!

It's been rolled more than a few times and bounced off more than one tree with no damage to the pipe whatsoever. Not sure of how much less clearance with a different brand sled and with the twins though. Thanks for the compliment on my sled as I really like the way it looks and with this hood I've had absolutely no heating problems whatsoever. Changing out the original belt this coming season after 1700 miles.

I ran a R&M on my M900....the ONLY way to go IMO, for the reasons stated.....lighter, cooler, better power and cooler belts. More likely to melt on a rollover than spear with a branch.

that dragon looks sweet with a mesh hood, If i had an rmk i would definetly get one of those.

If you add a diamond S hood with their intake plenum would you need a fuel controller if you already have an SLP pipe setup on an 09 crossfire 800?

thanks for all the replys! the m series above this and the rmk ealier looks awesome! I have an 09 sno pro with the white bump and orange graphics. i also added a orange skid plate. i think the hood will look very out of place on my sled due to the white bump and orange ski plate but oh well, all the positive feedback has led me to want to buy one. for the people who have one, should i get one with the gauge mount on it or should i get something for the handlebars to mount my gauges?

I would go with something off the bars but some times i flip my sled to get it out when i get stuck.I think you can get the middle of the hood differant colors (orange) in your case. There is a hood for sale in the swap meet for a m sled just need to ship it grayhound is the best bet

it's so annoying when people act like they ride in the trees SOOOO thick that they can't have any mesh! even when you see the vids on youtube of burandt and bret, they never run into branches that are SO thick that they would penetrate a mesh hood and if they aren't runnin into that kind of brush, i doubt 99 percent of us on here are either. so with that aside, does anyone run this hood with the stock air box? i dont wanna get into a fuel box or anything so i'm thinkin about this hood, stock air box and my can. any pics anyone?

couldn't agree more ^^^^ right on!!!

thanks for the advise on the gauges. i read they stopped doin the colores due to fading.

mount gauge to bars...bdx i think sells the mount...or timbersled...and then you can mount a good 55w light on the underside of gauge mount..

Just to add to what everyone else has said, I have one and absolutely love the functionality of it. It made a huge improvement in deep powder performance because of the ventilation, and it is a LOT lighter. I ride in some thick trees and I've brushed into more than one tree and haven't had any tears or rips. You can see on my mesh where bark has rubbed against it and it still hasn't torn. Sorry I don't have any pics, but the hood is awesome!! My only complaint is that it doesn't fit perfectly, but with a little work I made mine a lot better.

I love my diamond s hood on my M1000. It has held up very well. It has been rolled many many times and been bounced off of trees and removed many branches from trees. I'd honestly say it holds up to tree banging much better than a stock hood.

I need to get the hood pod on mine.....all i know is my hot pot stays cold with this hood and it fits like a blind no armed man made it while tooting lines of a hookers chest....:beer;

first of all the kind of tree riding in videos is like riding wide open bowls compared to most of the riding around here. so anyone that wants to ride real trees come to cranbrook haha. second of all anyone running the mesh hoods on the m8 have a stock black hood they want to sell??????????? turbo hill in revy did some unwanted mods to mine at yamafest.

hopefully someone has something

i personally love the diamond s hood, i also had to block the front off because of the gap and itmbersled intake, not much snow goes in the back but i did rivet some rubber there anyways to be safe, my one problem with the hood tho, i run jaws twin pipes, and they take up alot of valuable space under the hood, basically whenever i flip my sled or park it in a tree that i didnt mean to park in, my hood moves a little and it melts against my pipes. it would be nicer if they built it a little bit taller on the laft side for us twin piper boys.

ill sell you my 09 m1000 hood, not the same one its white off the snopro with custom decals, hood only has about 4 rides on it, because of my motor wrork and my pipes my sled simply will not breath with a stock hood unless u butcher it with vents so i had to take it off right away, there is not a scratch on it.
