Why is there more snow in the valley with these storms than in the freaking mountains? :( this sucks!!!!!!!! I have a foot at my house and only 8" is being reported at Snowbird.

Snotel was showing more than a foot at Monte earlier. We were heading up today but didn't try, it was dumping to hard and the webcam showed the road hadn't been pushed.

Yeah I noticed the same, though I think the resorts were hit differently this time, it was more of a wasatch back storm then the normal front dump. with these weak front storms lately its very hit and miss. good news is we ride snowmobiles on the wasatch back. When Park city ridge and Brighton get more snow then snowbird this means the backside got hit more. Brighton was reporting 18" last night and Park city ridge was reporting 12" I think. we should get more tomorrow though. On a positive note I was able to put some miles in on my sled last night delivering neighborhood Christmas gifts, daybreak has some kick butt Greenspace with kickers all over in them, 12" of snow and it was game on! :face-icon-small-coo

On a serious note the Avalanche danger in the Uintahs where they received 6" or more of new snow is extremely dangerous right now. This was a wet snow to start off so once it settles it will be a great base but through the weekend its gonna be sketchy. Watch out for each other and ride safe! More snow on tap tomorrow, this should be light fluffy blower pow, lets hope for a lot!

Just bought a new Proclimb M8000 Sno Pro 153. Can't wait to get out! I live in South Jordan

Man I dont know where to go now tomorrow. With another storm coming in saturday you will have to stay in the trees in order to see anything.
