Why do people bail on sledding?

i had birthday plans with my olady, birthday plans with her kids, anniversary plans with my olady,.... and i blew them all off at the last minute, [you can ask her to verify this] when my buds call me and said, LETS GO RIDING! sleding is my passion, every thing else comes after it!!!

Remoldeling our house has taken a toll on my riding this year. I tried like h*ll to make the remoldel happen in the fall or spring but no such luck.
