Why 2 Federations in BC??

Hi guys. I'm new to BC and anxious to discover sledding in BC. Coming from Quebec and Ontario where there was only one major snowmobile federation to those respective provinces...what gives with BC?? Could someone please explain and fill me in? I see a few clubs belong to one and a bunch belong to another. Hope someone call fill me in!

i can't answer that for you but i know they like to fight eachother! i am also curious why when i am a club member to one, that the other federation treats me like a non supporter...
