why 06's so good?

hey guys gonna be looking for a used 800 rev soon. wanted a new xp but the warden says no way,anyhow i've read it on here and buddys of mine even non-doo guys tell me to look for an 06 model they are supposedly the best year why is that? thanx.....:beer;

I never owned a Ski-doo prior to my XP, but i did research a lot before hand and the 06 REV seemed to be everyones favorite with the least amount of problems. I imagine you could pick one up fairly reasonable with the model change in 2008.

mmm no more replies, to answer your question why 06? Cause it did not have the problems that came with 07s and had all the goodies that 04 and 05 did not offer and not plagued with the issued probs of 07 models (clutching and track).

06 had the chassis of the first Rev, the running boards that came out in 05, the new PTEK engine updates that actually worked, the clutching that worked, the track that worked, the handwarmers that worked, minor if any electrical issues as a whole (yes some emods getting wet becasue of the placement under the hood, and a new ski that I personally like a lot. And don't forget that cute little windshield on the X models. Shovels and probes fit under the hood, new and nice lightweight seat (except the lack of storage).

Keep the clutch clean and it will stay consistent every trip. My last belt lasted 1081 miles. Yes I own and 06 and it has 2 years left on the warranty and I love this sled, the 07s with the fixes plain rock, the R motor has a lot of grunt so don't discount that sled, especially if you get it with the powder max track. My opinion of course.

6600 for mine. 06 x 144 rollled chain case, new motor from the crankshaft up with 200 miles on it. SLp Power Dome Billet Head. Digital temp guage, 440 race t-stat selete kit. Let me know. Availiable Any time u want it. Hurt my backk and am out for the rest of the season.
