Boost VR1 Low Elevation Calibration

- Stock Tune: 185.2 hp
with Stock Muffler Mod

Interesting how max power is in the 78-8100 area. You see most guys run them up in the 84-8500 rpm .
 
But Carl's only has a tune for 900 Boost, right?
as far as i know carls is the only one with a factory boost 900 big bore tune and requires 100ll or better fuel. i just bought their 2024 product tester sled with all the goodies and it feels like a monster just getting it loaded on the deck. race gas in it now smells good to but ill be running it on 100% avgas which smells equally good

Its because of ignition timing. Keeping it from detonating by spinning it higher and actually dropping a few degrees in timing at that RPM. Peak HP does drop off a bit but at WOT full boost, full load it keeps the engine happy. The Boost platform is VERY sensitive to engine load.

I helped a friend do the speedwerx tuning/clutching starting back in early november 2021 (when the west coast was the only place that got snow at that time which allowed early testing in the real world) , found some issues and did MANY different revisions. I would put my money on the fuel mapping (how clean it runs which was also verified by Jim/Dynotech with his praises during the dyno session) and the clutching, mainly being focused on bottom end and mid range response along with backshift recovery on/off the throttle that the speedwerx setup in the mountains is the best running/performing setup on the snow.
