If you compare stats at this point in their career, Kobe has the title, But... If you compare MVP's, rings, finals, etc, kobe has some catching up to do.
Oh and you don't think MJ has never done anything wrong? I love mj, i buy a different pair of Mj shoes every month, and wear MJ t shirts almost every day, but he was an AVID gambler. And we know why he left for those couple years when he was in his PRIME. He got caught in a gambling scheme and the comissioner asked him to leave for a little so they didn't have to step up and taint the legacy that MJ created for the league. he then came back and won more titles! There is tons of evidence of that, and right before he left he was all over the news about a possible betting conection.
I agree with this!!! Jordan is the best basketball player to ever play the game.. Kobe could never leave a legacy like Jordan did.. I think its a disgrace to Jordan to have kolby even compared to himI don't see what the big deal is with MJ gamebling. It's not like the man can't afford it. Him loosing a million on a round of golf is like me having to buy my buddy a beer if i loose. He never bet against his team, so to me it's not a big deal. There's nothing wrong with gameling, if you can afford it. Kobe's far from having better stats than Jordan IMO.
MJ averaged over 30.1 ppg, and Kobe's at 25 right now. He's already over his prime IMO too. MJ averaged 5.3 assists per game, and Kobe's averageing 4.6. MJ averaged 2.3 steals per game, and Kobe's average is 1.5 I'd say Jordan leads in #'s also. Jordan made his team better from the day he got there, and it took Kobe 10 years to figure out he's not the only player on the Lakers. I'd take Jordan in his prime any day over Kobe in his prime to be on my team.
