LUNCH!

My family has been logging for generations and I get really tired of the enviros telling me that wildlife and logging can't exist. What a joke! One winter we had a group of big old boy bull elk follow us like puppies all winter. Whenever I pulled a skid of logs out they'd immediately get in the skid trail I had just made to get at all the stuff I just uncovered.

Nice picture! What a beautiful bird! Thanks for sharing!

Here is a young Musk-ox from a few years ago when out hunting. It got separated from the herd from a pack of wolves. Right timing for it we came along. After I gave it a ride back to the herd on my old summit we caught up to a pack of 9 wolves and got 5 of them about 5 miles from where the pic was taken. Can see it took a more liking to my fathers Vertical Edge over my Summit. LOL

EDIT- forgot to add it was no more then a couple days old. Still had the umbilicle cord hanging there. It sure enjoyed the sled ride. As I was taking off it kept chasing after me until the mother caught up to it. LOL

What kind of grouse is that? Had the same thing happen in the Snowys a couple years ago. We parked the sleds for a break and it flew right up to us.

Daryll, that is an awesome picture. But dang, those buggers aren't very cute. HAHA

Holding a grouse that was in the trail. I pulled up beside it and it started pecking at my ski. So I knelt down beside it and it started attacking me then jumped in my lap. So I gave it a kiss and sent her on her way.

Most people riding the Snowies have seen the fox at the warming hut.
He comes out when he hears snowmobiles because he know he will most likely get some free food!

Sorry, didn't have my camera.
